Most times we find pleasure in sin and we wonder why. Since the fall of man, sin has been built inside of a man which makes the sinful nature become the normal way of life.
However, there are different expressions of sin. You may be wondering which sin this is. Proverbs 9:17 “stolen water is sweet and bread eaten in secret is pleasant….. (KJV). Another version says “illicit sex is the best sex of all, our secret affairs will be sweater than all others. But little do you know that her guest are now becoming the citizens of hell” (TPT).
If you steal a meat for example, after you have been given the one you were due to eat. The pleasure you get from eating that meat is sweet right? But do you know that you are becoming a slave to the act of stealing. This same principle goes for sex. Illicit sex is the best of all as scripture said. You would feel on top of the world. That secret relationship you have with that guy and that lady is sweet to you. Because stolen waters are sweet, but the end is utmost pain and sorrow.

Aside the physical effects you can get from sex like HIV/AIDS, STDs and so on. Do you know the spiritual effects on you is worse. You live in the condemnation of the devil. You walk outside of God’s will for your life and mandate. You are prone to the attacks of the wicked and you are vulnerable to certain things that is not in God’s will for your life. What you thought you were deriving pleasures from is killing you and setting you up for destruction. Scripture says the enemy cometh not but to steal to kill and to destroy (John 10:10). That is exactly what the devil wants to do with you. First he has stolen, he wants to kill you and finally destroy you.
Spiritually, sex drains you. You were sent to this world to represent God but through illicit sex, you have lost your virtue. Let me share a quick story with you….
There was a girl named “Grace”, right from the moment she came to this world, God gave her the gift of sight. She could see what has happened, what is happening and what is yet to happen. As at the age of seven, she was already fixing marriages, confronting witches, delivering destinies and many more. The enemy saw she was going to be a great threat. All she had was the gift, she didn’t have the true knowledge of God because of the environment she grew up in. The enemy then introduced bad companies into her life.
At the age of twelve, she had her first sexual experience. She became so fond of it and continued with different boys. The night of her first sex, she had a dream. She saw seven stars around her head, so bright and beautiful suddenly the guy she slept with came, took one and replaced it with his dead star. She didn’t know the meaning of the dream neither could she ask her parents.
The more she fornicates, the more she lost all of her virtues. At age fifteen, the once seeing girl became blind spiritually. The brilliant girl became the class dullard.
Have you ever wondered why you have been misbehaving? Do you know why you keep having tormenting dreams? Do you care to know why you always fail? You’ve given the devil legal hold of your life. Yours might not be through sex but you know that secret things you do behind everyone’s back. However this is not your end.
There is a Man who can save you, restore you and bring you back to how you used to be. His name is JESUS. Him alone can save you from that pool of sin. You have been introduced to witchcraft against your will. You can be out of that coven only if you are ready to be set free. Scripture says if you known the truth, the truth shall set your free (John 8:32).
Right now wherever you are, go on your kneels, open your heart to Jesus, call on Jesus to save you.
To ensure your total deliverance, you have to give your life to Him (Jesus) for him to fight your battles. If you are ready say this prayer with a genuine heart;
Lord Jesus, thank you for forgiving my sins, with my heart I believe that you are Christ and you came to redeem me from the bondage of sin, with my heart I believe and with my mouth I confess you as my Lord and Savior from this very moment. Cleanse me Lord, wash me with your blood. Redeem and restore to me all that I have lost.Amen.
